Oh my goodness a lot has happened since I wrote last. Dick Getz, Jerry Hodel, Carl Roth, Ken McConaghy, Jim Hopper, and George Bennedetto, all men I've known, have died.
Just a part of my tiny little world.

Lisa, Jose and Carolyn are in a hard battle for their lives. AT THIS MOMENT. One thing they all have in common is an outstanding strong faith in God and His promise to them. I thank God that they do. I hope that others that face the same turmoil can find God's peace in their journey as well. Ask me about it.

And then there are Calli, Josie, Charlie, and millions of others mere days old. New life, new hope, little angels among us.

What an amazing world we are in.

Third grade Sunday School is a blast.
So is living right here in Peoria.

Hey, I need all you to pray for Lisa Leman Gerber. She has just had a bone marrow transplant today needed to fight luekemia. she is in Iowa City and has had quite a year and a half. About six months before being diagnosed with cancer she and her husband had to suffer the loss of their six month old son. Yet they have a strong faith and are working their way through this with God as their foundation. So, pray.
Thanks.

Hey, Am I talking to myself? No even though you don't post comments someone is seeing all this. Guess who?

That's right. God.

The cool thing about it is I don't have to post something here for him to know my every thought. For you yes. For Him, no, He already know them. Unreal? Supernatural? Yes. but no big thing for Him.

You ever study Revelation? Wow. Some nasty stuff going on there. The future may not be a bright here on earth as we think it should be. Check it out.

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the beer.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students respnonded with a unanimous "yes".

The professor then produced two cans of beer from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the emtpty space between the sand, The strudents laughed.

"Now" said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recongnize that this jar represents you life:

The golf balls are the important things, your family, your children, your health, your friends, your favorite passions, things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your, car, your house.

The sand is everything else, the small stuff.

If you put the sand into the jar first, there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take you partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house, and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the beer represented.

The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of beers.

Now I'm gonna tell you some stuff and its true, you may like it or not but it's still good for you all to hear so listen up. Kinda a plubic service dealy.

I've got my Corona Extra and some Pringles and I feel like writing so here goes.

A: Don't drive so fast.
One time after driving on this one road every day for months the country road commissioner decided to maintain the road by putting a new layer of gravel on it. I hit it going as fast as I usually did and immdiately lost control and hit a bridge totalling my pickup and pinning me underneath it. Out of control. Many stitches later I still drove too fast.

B: Listen when somebody tells you to not drive so fast cause you just think you have control.
Another time by friend and I were riding motor cycles on this four lane road and passed followed a car into the passing lane to pass a bus going the same direction we were. Just as the we get past the bus the car driver decides to make an illegal u-turn on the interstate in one of those emergency vehicle only places and slams on their brakes. Motor cycles being much lighter dont stop as fast as cars so my friend to the right of me continues to slide underneath the back of the car cause he cant go left around the car because thats where it is turning and he cant go right cause that is where I am so he lays it down on its side. I try to go right around the car just as the bus is passing all of us in the right lane and my handle bars almost touch the bus and the car at the same time (all at 65mph). Don't go so fast.

C: Really pay attention when somebody tells you not to go so fast. Two kids from Tremont died last week when there car was almost cut in half when the lost control of their speeding car and crashed into a tree.

D: Tell your mother you love her.

E: Tell your father you love him.

F: Tell your spouse (if you have one) you love them.

G: Pray

E: Pray some more.

F: Okay I'm tired.
